2015 Nissan Murano is a 5-passenger midsize crossover SUV. It was primarily designed for the North American market. When it first time appeared with wildly curvaceous look featured a rounded front-end treatment with a swept-back grille and cat’s eye headlamps it was a surprise for everybody. In those times SUVs mostly had square-jawed design. Nissan announced the third generation Murano for the year 2015.
2015 Nissan Murano will get a brand new, futuristic look. It will have advanced aerodynamic airflow management that will improve the vehicle’s fuel economy. The front of the vehicle will be dominated by the large grille and broad lower air dam. Grille will be flanked by boomerang-shaped headlamps that reach far up and into the broad-shouldered front fenders. We assume that rear end will be also drastically changed compared to the previous generation (shown on pictures), but we have no precise information what Nissan’s designers are preparing in that area.
It is expected that interior will be drastically changed too. Sculpted dashboard will be dominated by a large touch screen display. The display will be a combination of navigation and infotainment system. Although we still have no precise information, it is expected that the new 2015 Nissan Murano will be full with new gadgets that will satisfy everyone’s needs. We expect that it will be equipped with Nissan’s Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant and full smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.
Power will probably continue to come from a V6 engine that comes mated to a gearless continuously variable transmission (CVT), with front- and all-wheel-drive models available. As before, the Murano should remain roomy on the inside and offer myriad high-tech safety and convenience features. In the Resonance, you’ll find all the requisite concept features: a floating roof, long ribbon-like lighting design, cameras in place of rear-view mirrors, a futuristic interior and big 22-inch wheels. Futuristic crossover Nissan TeRRA, which debuted at the international motor show in Paris, will not go into production, but it may become a prototype of the next generation Murano.
