2015 Nissan Frontier Built on the rwd unibody chassis shared with the next xterra and the Infiniti qx56 successor.Available with Nissans 3.5L v6 in rwd or awd configurations. 6 speed automatic or 6 speed manual transmissions are available.
Also available as a hybrid. Between the 2.5L inline-4 and the cvt transmission there is a 45 kW (60 hp) electric motor that produces 300Nm (220 ft lbs) torque. Power is drawn from a 25 kW hr litium ion battery that provides an all electric range of 30 miles and can be charged in 2 hours.

The lightest configuration weighs in at 3430 lbs. The heaviest (hybrid) weighs 4150 lbs. The v6 model weighs 4080.Extensive use of high strength steel in the chassis and liberal use of aluminum for the body panels keeps weight in check.
